Pricing is always subject to the Year, Make, Model, Mileage, and most importantly, the vehicle's condition. A vehicle that qualifies for a custom accessible conversion must be a 2018 or newer model with less than 50,000 miles. It must be completely clear of any accident history. It is important to note the cost of converting a vehicle to wheelchair-accessible is in addition to the cost of the vehicle being converted. Both vehicle and conversion parts costs are continuing to increase particularly post-pandemic. Conversion prices currently range from $10,000 to $35,000 and upward.

What factors can affect the price?

Aero Mobility offers both side-entry and rear-entry ramp conversions. Generally, rear-entry conversions are more cost-effective because changes for side-entry modifications are more labor-intensive. Both rear or side ramps are available in manual or automatic operation. Manual ramps are more cost-effective because they require fewer parts and automation but require a caregiver to operate the ramp to allow the chair user to enter or exit.

Side-entry ramps are only allowed on the passenger side of the vehicle due to regulations. There are rare driver-side entry vehicles that require expressed consent and vary by state.

Side-entry ramps are available in bi-fold or in-floor models. Rear-entry ramps are only available bi-fold. A bi-fold ramp has a seem where the ramp will fold in half inside the vehicle when not in use. In-floor ramps deploy without the seem, instead sliding out from a storage bay underneath the vehicle. Comparatively fold-out ramps are more cost-effective than in-floor ramps.
